Is Healthy Eating That Taste
Good Possible?
One of the major concerns people have about healthy eating is how the food
is going to taste. They are convinced prior to tasting properly prepared healthy foods, that the
food tastes worse than bland. Actually, nothing is further from the truth. If you have tasted
healthy food that had no taste, it was because it was most likely prepared improperly.
One of the first rules of healthy eating is learning how to mix fresh
herbs, seasonings and spices. Once a person masters this art, they can literally take any dish and
turn it into a culinary masterpiece.
To make mouthwatering healthy foods, one needs to learn how to use:
cilantro, parsley, Italian parsley, cumin, curry, paprika, ginger, garlic, cinnamon, Italian herbs,
California herbs, Caribbean fish seasoning, olive oil, seas salt, peppercorns, crushed red pepper,
basil, thyme, oregano, Rosemary, turmeric, marjoram, ground ginger, raw honey, apple cider vinegar,
lemons, raw sugar, sage, bay leaf, saffron, nutmeg, arrowroot, celery seed, celery salt,
chile powder, cloves, Jamaican allspice, tarragon, peppermint, coriander, Old Bay Seasoning, garlic
powder, dry mustard, onion powder and the list goes on.
As you learn how to mix and meld these herbs, spices and seasonings
together, your dishes and snacks will take on a whole new culinary aura. In it's basic form,
healthy eating involves using whole foods and flavoring them with the right mixture of herbs,
seasonings and spices.
An other objection people, [well I should say Americans] have when it
comes to healthy eating is giving up their beloved snack foods such as potato chips and French
fries. There are many incredible replacements to the weight gaining potato chips and French
fries and they taste delicious!
Did you know that you could take some fresh kale, toss it in olive oil and
sea salt and bake until crisp and you will have some of the best tasting chips you ever had? You
can also take sweet potatoes and dice them up into French fry type cuts, cover them in olive oil
and bake them at four hundred degrees for about eight minutes. Flip them over and back until crisp,
which will be about four to six minutes. Take them out if the oven and immediately sprinkle them
with sea salt, curry and your other favorite seasonings.
As you will learn, there are plenty of healthy junk food replacements that
you will enjoy! You can also make homemade potato chips and the great news is, they are delicious,
healthy and you won't put on weight when you make them properly.
